Re: InceptionI watched it as well last night, i really enjoyed it. Didn't see it in IMAX though, just the drive ins. My woman was equally in awe, confused and irritated. But overall it was good, not too difficult to keep up with and some of the scenes were awesome even at the drive ins. I want to watch it again, just to tie it all together, those who saw it know what i mean.

Re: Inceptionwow, where do you live? I did not know drive-ins even existed anymore.

Re: InceptionSan Jose, there is a drive in theater on Snell and Capitol expressway, which also doubles as a weekend flea market. Pretty decent deal 6.75 for two movies, though i rarely stay for two. 4.75 on tuesdays

Re: InceptionIts not often i come out of a film and dont have much to say ,but this movie did it in a good way. I was truly gobsmacked at the pure unadulterated genius of this movie

Re: Inception
There's also one in Concord nearby where I live. They're cheap and fun to go to when you're with friends or girlfriend. If I agreed with you we’d both be wrong.
Re: InceptionHoly shit............so I just saw Inception.
My god, trully one of the best films I have ever seen.................stunning. The best part about it all, the fact that everyone is all "Ohh man, what a head f*ck" and "I dont know what happened"..............IT WAS INCREDIBLY SIMPLY!!!! By the mere fact that EVERYTHING was explained in the film!!! and not in a dumbed down way, just in a way that you a part of it all and everything was explained as it happened. What was not to understand? The spinning top at the end? is that what the problem was?............for me, that was just a "Im going to f*ck with you" moment and the PLANTING OF AN IDEA IN YOUR HEAD (see the relevance and genius?) that it all "could" have been a dream.............but it wasnt. Man, so many things to like about it.............the fact there was wasnt much CGI, apart from the structural affects of buildings and things. The fight where they were moving around that hall way..............WAS ALL DONE WITH A ROTATING SET!!! genius! Nolan said that he wanted to do it right way! and not cop out with CGI (Clackamn told me about this). Got to respect someone who does not compromise on his vision by taking the easy or less expensive way out............trully a return to form after making what "they" wanted with the Batman films. Incredible.............JUST LISTEN AND PAY ATTENTION and it all is very simple and.............fantastic. ![]() ![]()

Re: Inception
But I didnt spoil anything or give anything away. The spinning top at the end is left up to the viewers interpretation, it wasnt something that was a fact about the story that Ive given away............its up to the viewer, and thats how I viewed it. The fight in the hall way gives nothing away...........cuz its in the trailor.........and its just a fight in a hall way. ![]() ![]()
Re: Inception
I was thinking about the spinning at the end and the possible dream. The fight part doesn't need spoilers at all... and the other probably doesn't, but as I haven't seen it yet... I had no clue. ![]() ONE LOVE ONE DUB WWW.WARRIORSROUNDTABLE.COM
Re: InceptionDamn.... don't get me wrong I loved the movie...but this is pretty interesting and makes you wonder where Nolan really got the idea...
Open only if you have seen the movie!! Spoiler: show "The victorious warrior wins first, and then goes to war; the defeated warrior goes to war first, and hopes to win."

Re: InceptionKind of like "Magificent 7" meets "Dreamscape" meets the "The Sting" meets "CIA 1965'." (Notice I left out " The Matrix" ) I guess they thought they had enough "Action Hero " in this to put it out as a summer movie. And that's great , the movies this time of year, absolutely suck! And this was well done.
Di Caprio's become Hollywood's only character to do obsessive rage that captivates everyone around him. I think it's unfortunate they couldn't get somebody new. So corparate spies trying to hijack the psyche of the heir to an industrialist they fear will control the entire energy grid of the world. You can't say it isn't visionary, it bites off a lot. It does strike me though, once you've established a texture, and an idea that this is a classy film, with classy stars, and then boom, those incredible special effects! From a writing perspective, once you can convince an audience to accept a premise like this, you're home free. You can prety much make it up as you go along. We walked up building and hallway walls, locomotive scene through the middle of the city street, capturing the fortress in the snow covered peaks, the quintessential urban chase scene. I might have suggested something involving the Amazon or outer space,or climbing a huge peak, without the possibilty off coming back down, because that's maybe what's going on in my subconscious lately. Maybe I'm a little contrarian, but don't get me wrong. I did like this movie alot.
Re: InceptionI've finally seen Inception... and, don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it a lot... but due to the great reviews I've read, I kinda was expecting more. I've read (and some people told me) that it was hard to follow, that you had to watch it twice... what for?. It's, as Bigs says, incredibly simple. Just pay attention, it's all dumbed down so you can understand it.
There are some mind tricks with the viewers (the ending comes to mind), but it was so simple that I got the most important parts even before they happened: Spoiler: show All in all, a GREAT move, very enjoyable, well done... but that left me wanting something else, like if it couldn't be that simple (and I blame the reviews, no the movie itself). ![]() ONE LOVE ONE DUB WWW.WARRIORSROUNDTABLE.COM
